What is Domination and submission

In the realm of D/s there are many who "act" as Dominants that may not understand the importance of building an honest trusting relationship or "contract", with two way communication.

Domination:
Demands the Dominant partner be mature, responsible, thoughtful, and attentive, since they hold the trust and welfare of another's well being in their grasp.

Submission:
Is just that... the act of submitting, granting or ALLOWING another control. It isn't demanded, it is freely given. Submission need not be total. It can be for specified time or limited in activity or action.

Domination and Submission is about power exchange....Giving over of control.

As a role play or a healthy relationship it isn't about endurance, but rather exploration. It does not have to be about sexual contact, though for many it may, at times,include that element.
